Passenger manifest
The official list of everyone travelling on a vehicle, vessel or group, with identifying details, kept for safety and regulatory reasons.
What is Passenger manifest?
Airlines, coaches, ferries and trek permits all work from manifests. For a group operator, the manifest is the roster for a departure in the form an authority or transporter needs: names, ID type, and sometimes nationality and emergency contact.
A manifest must match the people actually on board. A last-minute swap that never reaches the sheet is a problem at a checkpoint and a bigger one in an emergency.
On a live trip
Keep the roster as the single source and export the manifest from it per vehicle or per permit, rather than maintaining separate lists that drift.
