Headcount & check-in
“Bus 7:00 — 32/35 boarded.” Live.
Counting heads in a car park is the most stressful five minutes of a trip day. Rahi turns it into a live checklist: open a check-in for the stop, travellers tap to confirm, and the captain sees exactly who is missing.
without Rahi:
Today the captain counts twice, gets two different numbers, and calls whoever they can remember.
What you get with headcount & check-in
Check-in per itinerary item
Open a headcount for the 7:00 bus, the monument entry or the return flight.
Self check-in
Travellers confirm from the app. The captain marks the rest when a phone is flat.
Missing names, not just a number
See who has not checked in, with one tap to call them.
Visible to the office
Ops managers see check-in status for every active departure from the dashboard.
How do trek leaders do headcount at each checkpoint?
Run a check-in for each checkpoint rather than counting from memory. In Rahi the trek leader opens a check-in for the itinerary item, travellers confirm from their phones, the leader marks anyone without signal, and a live counter such as 32/35 shows who is still missing by name.
- One check-in per itinerary item or camp.
- Traveller self check-in plus manual marking by the captain.
- Names of missing travellers, with one tap to call.
Questions about headcount & check-in
How do headcounts and check-ins work?
For any itinerary item, such as a 7:00 AM bus, the captain runs a check-in and sees a live count like "32/35 boarded" with the names of who is missing. Travellers can check themselves in from the app. Ops managers can see check-in status for every active departure from the dashboard.
Does Rahi work offline on treks?
Not at launch. The traveller app needs a network connection to load updates, which matters on high-altitude treks. Offline access to the itinerary and documents is on our roadmap. Until then, trek leaders should brief travellers on the plan before the group enters low-network zones.
