Land package
Everything in a tour except the flights: hotels, transfers, sightseeing, meals and guides, priced separately so travellers can book air on their own.
What is Land package?
Outbound group tours are often sold as a land package plus optional group airfare, because travellers may join from different cities or use points for flights. The land package starts at a meeting point in the destination, which makes the first pickup point and arrival headcount the hardest of the trip.
Land packages also define what is included. Meal plans, entry fees and transfers all need to be spelled out, or the itinerary promises what the package does not cover.
On a live trip
Put the meeting point, meeting time in local time, and a contact number in the first itinerary item, and plan the first headcount around staggered arrivals.
