Meal plans: EP, CP, MAP, AP
Hotel codes for which meals are included: EP is room only, CP adds breakfast, MAP adds breakfast and one main meal, AP includes all meals.
What is Meal plans: EP, CP, MAP, AP?
Indian hotels quote group rates on one of four plans. EP (European Plan) is room only. CP (Continental Plan) includes breakfast. MAP (Modified American Plan) includes breakfast and either lunch or dinner. AP (American Plan) includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The plan code on the hotel contract has to match what the itinerary tells travellers. A hotel on CP with an itinerary that says "dinner at hotel" means someone pays for dinner twice or nobody eats.
On a live trip
Translate the plan into the itinerary's meals column per day. Travellers do not know what MAP means; they want to know whether dinner is on them.
