DMC (Destination Management Company)
A local company at a destination that provides ground services such as hotels, transport, guides and activities to tour operators and agents from elsewhere.
What is DMC (Destination Management Company)?
An Indian operator taking a group to Bali or Vietnam usually works with a DMC there for transfers, hotels and local guides, while keeping its own captain with the group. Inbound DMCs in India do the same for foreign operators.
The DMC runs the ground arrangements; the operator still owns the group. Travellers call the operator's captain, not the DMC, when the bus is late.
On a live trip
Share the itinerary and rooming list with the DMC in the format they need, and keep your own roster and headcounts: the DMC manages services, not your travellers.
