Announcement
A message from the operator or captain to every traveller on a departure, delivered so it is seen rather than buried in a chat.
What is Announcement?
On most trips today announcements go into a WhatsApp group, where a changed pickup time sits between forty photos and a dinner debate. An announcement system sends the message as a notification to every traveller and keeps important ones pinned where they can be found later.
Announcements and chat solve different problems. Chat is for the group to talk; announcements are for the operator to be heard.
On a live trip
Announce every itinerary change, every room allocation and every departure time, and pin the ones travellers will need to find again tonight.
