Itinerary
The ordered, timed plan of what a group does and where it goes, day by day, including transport, stays and meals.
What is Itinerary?
An itinerary answers, for every moment of the trip, where the group should be and what happens next. Good ones are written per item: a time, a short description, a place, and the practical details attached to that item such as pickup point, meals and what to carry.
Itineraries fail in two ways. They are too vague ("Day 2: Sightseeing") so travellers ask the captain everything, or they are frozen in a PDF so the plan on paper stops matching the plan on the ground by the second day.
On a live trip
Travellers do not read itineraries; they look up the next item. Build and share the itinerary so that "what's next" is one glance, and announce every change rather than relying on people to re-read.
