Triple sharing
Three travellers in one room, usually two beds plus an extra bed or mattress. Common on student trips and budget tours.
What is Triple sharing?
Triple sharing lowers the per-person price and is standard for school and college groups. Hotels provide it as a twin room with an extra bed, a rollaway or a floor mattress, so what "triple" means physically varies by property.
Confirm with the hotel what the third bed is and whether the room size suits three adults. A triple that works for students may not be acceptable for a corporate group.
On a live trip
On the rooming list, mark triple rooms explicitly and keep groups of three together from the roster's room group column so the hotel is not left to decide who gets the extra bed.
