Trip template
A reusable plan for a trip, including day-wise itinerary, stays and inclusions, from which individual departures are created.
What is Trip template?
A trip template holds everything that is the same every time you run a trip: the day-by-day items, where the group sleeps each night, what meals are included and what travellers should carry. A departure is created from it by choosing dates.
Templates stop the re-typing that happens when each departure is built from last month's PDF. They also carry fixes forward: correct the pickup point once and every future departure has it right.
On a live trip
On trip day, a good template means the captain's app already knows the next item, the pickup point and tonight's hotel. A weak one means the captain is the itinerary.
